Hostel Rules
The following hostel rules have been designed and laid down for the protection and safety of each student. We expect that students will have the maturity to appreciate and behave accordingly.
- Each student must assume the responsibility of following the rules of hostel. This is to ensure her safety as well as that of her colleagues.
- Students are responsible for keeping their rooms clean. Common premises such as corridors, lobbies, bathrooms and other areas must be kept clean and tidy no littering will be permitted.
- When leaving a room, the fans and lights should be switched off.
- Do not waste electricity by keeping the lights on unnecessarily in the rooms/bathrooms during day light hours.
- No cooking is allowed in the rooms.
- Visitors are not allowed in the student room.
- All the students are expected to be in warden’s office for night roll call at 8 pm.
- Students are not allowed to keep any jewellery and excess cash with them in the hostel. If there is any loss of damage, the school authorities will not be held responsible or undertake any liability thereof.
- No student is allowed to take her meal in her room.
- Proper timings are to be maintained for taking meals in the dining hall.
- Tape recorder, T.V., Radios and cell phones are not allowed in the hostel rooms. Mobile phones are strictly not allowed in the Hostel, School and while on duty in the hospitals.
- Any student found guilty of misbehavior or a serious deviation from the code of behavior laid down by the school/hostel authorities can be summarily dismissed from the hostel, without any prior warning or notice.
- If a student is sick, she is required to inform the warden. The warden will then send her to the hospital immediately with an attendant of entrust a suitable student with this responsibility.
- Students must wear full uniform when they are on duty or in school. Jewellery like earrings, rings, bangles are not allowed to be worn when in uniform.
- Students are allowed to meet visitors on Sunday and gazette Holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. The relatives may meet with students in the visiting room only. Student’s rooms are out of bound for even, female relatives.
- Every student is required to submit, Photographs of four authorized relatives at the time of admission to the warden. These will be pasted in the visitors register. Parents should sign photographs of visitors. Only these visitors will be allowed to meet the student.
- Visiting Hospital during off duty hours is not allowed except in case of any medical or surgical emergency.
- Permission slip (Out-Pass) for nights stay will be granted only once in a month. The student may collect the pass from the warden after the principal, College of Nursing signs it. She must return it to the warden immediately on her return to the hostel. The parents/guardians should sign the night pass.
- When the student leaves the hostel for vacations or long, she must sign the register. Accurate time of arrival and departure must be filled in.
- Students are not permitted to visit senior students in their rooms.
- Ragging In all its forms is banned as it is considered a congnized offence by law.
- Any student found guilty of ragging, may be suspended at the discretion of the principal and management
